This exciting event will equip your organisation with knowledge on commissioning, networking opportunities and provide you with information on building partnerships. SOUTHEAST LONDON BOROUGH SURGERY 21 January 2015 Main Event Time: 10:00 am – 1.45pm BME Network Meeting: 1:45 pm - 3.30 pm Venue: Stephen Lawrence Centre, 29 Brookmill Road, Deptford, SE8 4HU This exciting event will equip your organisation with knowledge on commissioning, give you the opportunity to network with other organisations in Southeast London and provide you with information on building partnerships. This event is open to organisations working to support those affected by sexual and domestic violence in London, with a focus on: Lewisham, Bromley, Bexley, Greenwich and Southwark. This workshop funded by London Councils as part of the ASCENT project will consist of: Presentations by experts: The Women's Resource Centre will make a presentation on the ASCENT project Rights of Women will be talking about the Equality Act 2010 and how to make the case for  women only services. Presentations from local commissioners: Learn how the commissioning process works in your borough and how you can get involved. Speed networking session: Meet local organisations and council representatives in an exciting 'speed dating' style activity. Working in partnership: How to prepare to work in partnership and how to identify and present the expertise that you and your organisation bring  to a successful partnership.
