Del Singh: A great Loss for Palestine and humanity
The Palestinian Mission in the UK is deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic death of Del Singh who was killed yesterday in a suicide blast in Kabul. The Palestinian people have lost a dear and genuine friend and supporter of Palestine. Del devoted his life campaigning for social justice and peace in Palestine and the world at large. He was an outstanding and committed advocate for Palestinian human rights full of Passion, humility, and dedication trying to make the world a better place. He worked tirelessly championing Palestinian rights through his active involvement in the Labour Friends of Palestine and the Middle East's (LFPME), as a former member of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) and his previous work with DFID as a consultant for the Palestinian Ministry of Finance. He has participated in several Marathons in Gaza and Bethlehem and was preparing for Bethlehem's upcoming Marathon in April to raise funds for UNRWA's children programme in Gaza.
Today, we have lost a great supporter and tireless worker for justice and peace in Palestine. He has touched so many hearts and has left a great legacy that many international solidarity activists should follow. Our sincere and heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Del Singh's family and loved ones. May he rest in peace.
