Monthly summary - February 2014
February saw a substantial decline in the number of terror attacks: 117 attacks as opposed to 189 in January 2014. The decline was prominent in Judea and Samaria: 101 attacks, as opposed to 164 in January, while 14 of them occurred in "Jerusalem Envelope" . The Gaza Strip had a record of 7 attacks as opposed to 16 in January. Jerusalem saw a slight rise of 9 attacks as opposed to 7 in January.
4 Israelis were lightly injured this month: a citizen was stabbed near Damascus Gate in Jerusalem (9 Feb.) and 3 IDF soldiers (26 Feb.) were targeted by firebombs when riding a bus near Migdalim junction, south of Nablus (Samaria). 
 
 
Data regarding terror attacks in February 2014
 
Following is a regional distribution of attacks: 7 attack from the Gaza Strip (16 in January); 101 attacks in the Judea and Samaria (164 in January); 9 attacks in Jerusalem (7 in January).
  
Jerusalem and the Judea and Samaria area: Most attacks executed in January 99 out of 110 were in the form of firebombs (January: 146 out of 171).

Following is a distribution of attacks in February 2014 according to regions:
 
The Gaza Strip – 7 attacks: 7 rocket launchings.
 
Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem – 110 attacks: 7 IED; 3 small arms shootings; 1 stabbing attack (in Jerusalem); 99 firebombs (8 in Jerusalem).

Throughout February 2014 9 rockets were launched** towards Israel, in 7 attacks, as opposed to January: 22 rockets (2 from Sinai towards Eilat) and 4 mortar shell launching (in 19 attacks).
